Built Environment Degree Show

30 May 2025

Over the last 3 years, Emily has been studying Part 1 of Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire. Her final project provided a task to extend The Ladbrooke Hotel in Digbeth, Birmingham.

To mark the end of the degree and the completion of this project, she had the opportunity to present her work at the Built Environment Degree Show at the Atrium in Park Campus.

The Degree Show consisted of each student showing their display board highlighting key areas of the project in 2D and 3D drawings, as well as a technical drawing portfolio providing further information and reasoning behind the design and the approach they took. It is interesting seeing different designs each student produced with the same building.

At BHPH, we are incredibly proud of Emily's work. It's evident that she has dedicated significant time to researching and preserving the building's historic past, and she has presented her findings in a thoughtful and well-structured way. We are also extremely proud to announce Emily has received a conditional offer to start a Master’s Apprenticeship (Part 2 & 3) in architecture starting later this year!
