Ask an Architect

4 Apr 2023

We believe that advice should be easily accessible to everyone, as such we have decided to run free weekly ‘Ask an Architect’ sessions through April and May 2023.

The most crucial part of any project is good design, and the first step of achieving this is to get some professional advice. We believe that this advice should be easily accessible to everyone, as such we have decided to run free weekly ‘Ask an Architect’ sessions through April and May 2023.

Whether your project is a small single storey extension, a renovation and remodel, a barn conversion or if you have land that you want to develop, we would be happy to discuss the opportunities and offer some advice on design, budget, materials, processes etc.

All you have to do is book by emailing us on info@bhpharchitects.com or calling us on 01225 969 382.

Some frequently asked questions:

Who are these sessions for?
Anyone who is thinking of starting a project and looking at the design options and opportunities as well understanding the processes involved.

How much will the project cost?
There is no fixed price for an architectural package for any application. It depends on multiple factors, but we’ll be happy to provide guidance costs associated.

Do I need planning permission?
In some cases, a full planning application may not be required as your project may be lawful under ‘permitted development’ regulations or a prior approval, such as a Class Q barn conversion, etc. We will explore with you the appropriate path towards achieving your project goal.

What if I am unable to come to your office?
For those who are not able to come in person we have an online alternative.

Do I need to bring anything?
It will be very helpful to have any existing plans, photographs and your ‘wish list’ of changes or things you want to achieve.
